Audio-video conference systems on the level of the entire NLB Group by manufacturer Yealink

On the level of the entire NLB Group, there was a recognized need for unified business communication among group members and an awareness that meeting rooms, as we knew them before, used for spontaneous gatherings and business meetings, needed modernization. The pandemic in 2020 caused a crisis to which companies had to respond. Among the innovations that are likely to stay are adaptable or hybrid workspaces. These are spaces that have arisen by balancing remote work and on-site work. For this purpose, the trend of using video conferencing systems is increasing, primarily because remote work or working from home is becoming more prevalent in today's world. Technology has also played its part, as it now allows for quality and satisfactory operations, leading organizations to integrate video conferencing systems into their companies.

The main technical requirement for the investor was unified communication between MS Teams, Cisco Webex, and Zoom, with MS Teams as the primary connecting system. Devices had to be certified by Microsoft for use with the MS Teams platform, and cloud software had to be available for managing conference systems. The solution implemented by FMC is based on the use of Yealink video conferencing systems, which are already integrated into Microsoft Teams. Microsoft has collaborated with several third-party providers to create certified packages that include all the necessary components. Microsoft also partners with Yealink in the development of video conferencing systems. There are packages available that meet customer needs based on the size of the meeting room and the number of direct session participants. A small meeting room requires only one screen, microphone, and camera, while larger conference room systems consist of multiple microphones, multiple screens, and additional external speakers. It is also possible to assemble the components in such a way that you can assemble your unique system. It is always recommended to use MS Teams certified devices. The Yealink standard packages used include the "Mcore" device, which comes with pre-installed MTR (Microsoft Teams Rooms) software.

The high-performance YEALINK MCore Mini-PC with MS Windows and MS Teams application installed together with the touch tablet "MTouch II" (8-inch touch console) is a combination for excellent control and management of the meeting. Yealink MVC systems have an original user interface customized for Microsoft Teams, which is easy to operate with almost zero learning curve in such a way that just entering the meeting room can start a scheduled Teams or Skype for Business meeting with "one touch". Together with the built-in array of 8 MEMS microphones, with a 133° camera field of view, artificial intelligence technologies (AI Artificial intelligence technologies), including face detection, sound localization, accurate and fast speaker tracking and so on, provide users with a high-quality full-duplex call experience way.

Implemented Yealink MVC Systems include the following devices:

  • High-performance MCore Mini-PC with pre-installed Windows and MS Teams application;
  • MTouch II 8-inch touch console for excellent meeting control;
  • UVC40 USB Video Bar enabling auto-framing and speaker tracking;
  • MSpeech AI speaker/microphone;
  • UVC86 4K USB PTZ camera with 12x optical zoom and configurable modes (auto-framing, speaker tracking, presenter tracking);
  • MSpeaker speaker;
  • 2 VCM34 desktop wired microphones;
  • WPP20 content wireless sharing interface;
  • Dedicated Yealink AV hub for additional audio equipment connections;
  • RoomPanel: Touchpad for room occupancy display and room reservation;
  • RoomSensor: Multifunctional sensor (temperature, humidity, occupancy, etc.);
  • All necessary connection cables for system setup (USB, HDMI, UTP, etc.).

 

When equipping the rooms, all available Yealink MTR systems were used in the bank, from the equipment of very small rooms with only a UVC USB camera and connection to a personal computer, to systems for small rooms, medium rooms, large rooms and very large rooms. Combinations and integrations of the Yealink MTR system with smart touch presentation boards and professional sound systems with microphone systems from other manufacturers are also carried out.

The most important meeting rooms are additionally equipped with RoomPanels for monitoring room occupancy and the possibility of booking a meeting room on the spot.

The equipment of meeting rooms at the level of the entire NLB Group was implemented in 2022-2023 in all six countries in which the bank operates. Due to positive user experiences and user satisfaction regarding the effectiveness of Yealink MVC Systems for remote work, the project continues with the equipping of additional locations.
